This class primarily focuses on the foundations of Audio
Video & Film Technology. Topics include: Planning, Writing,
Directing, and Editing a Production; Field Equipment
Functions; Operational Setup and Maintenance; Advanced
Editing Operations; Studio Productions; Performance;
Audio/Video Control Systems; Production Graphics; Career
Opportunities; and Professional Ethics. Skills USA and the
Georgia Scholastic Press Association are appropriate
organizations for providing leadership training and for
reinforcing specific career and technical skills and are
considered an integral part of the instructional program
Georgia Professional Standards for Broadcast Video
Production (Teacher will provide materials that outline the
new standards)

Lab 50 %
Tests/ Quizzes 15 %
Employability 25%
Final Exam 10 %
Remember cell phone usage, and charging of the phones are not permitted, unless specified by the instructor. BYOT, Lesson
Incorporation, or Group/ Teacher driven. Improper cell phone use will result in lowered employability scores, calls to parents, and lab suspension.
